The Barcelona Clúster Nàutic, represented by director Claudia Parera, has participated in two events promoting the blue economy in our city.
The first event was the 3rd Blue Economy Public-Private Round Table held on Tuesday, 1 October. The meeting highlighted the progress made in blue infrastructure, employment, training, innovation, entrepreneurship and dissemination since the presentation of the Government Measure to Promote the Blue Economy three years ago. During the event, the consolidation of successes related to the acquisition and promotion of major international events, such as the America's Cup, Tomorrow.Blue Economy or the World Ocean Council, was also highlighted.
The second event for which the Barcelona Clúster Nàutic was present was “A new boost to the blue economy in Barcelona”. An event held on 8 October at the headquarters of the Barcelona Nautical Capital Foundation, in which the mayor of Barcelona, Jaume Collboni, participated and Ignacio Erroz, president of the Barcelona Clúster Nàutic, was present. The legacy of the America's Cup was one of the main topics of the meeting, with an interesting round table as the main focus.
Participation in these types of events organised by Barcelona City Council and Barcelona Activa is essential for learning first-hand about the advances in our city’s blue economy, as well as for positioning ourselves as a reference entity in the economic stimulation of the Barcelona coast.
