At the Monaco Yacht Show 2025, Barcelona Clúster Nàutic and Cluster Yachting Monaco agreed to collaborate more closely with the aim of strengthening ties between two of Europe’s most dynamic nautical ecosystems.
The collaboration agreement seeks to promote joint initiatives that enhance sector competitiveness, encourage mutual participation in major international events, foster sustainability, digital transition, and technological innovation, and promote cooperation among companies, institutions, and specialized training centers.
For Clàudia Parera, CEO of Barcelona Clúster Nàutic, strengthening this alliance means uniting two nautical powerhouses with a common purpose: to jointly address the global challenges of the sector and open new avenues for business and cooperation across the Mediterranean. Parera also emphasized that the connection between Barcelona and Monaco is particularly significant and key to the sector’s growth strategy, exponentially accelerating the goals of both organizations.
Meanwhile, Carmel Van Der Weide, CEO of Cluster Yachting Monaco, highlighted her confidence that this collaboration will strengthen the regional nautical ecosystem and facilitate meaningful connections among members and the yachting sector as a whole.
Through this alliance, Barcelona and Monaco reaffirm their role as leading hubs in the blue economy, extending their influence beyond the Mediterranean and paving the way for joint actions in areas such as specialized training, international promotion of the nautical sector, and the development of sustainable projects with global impact.
Both entities thus reinforce their leadership in the international nautical industry, joining forces to build a more innovative, competitive, and sustainable future.
