The mission of Barcelona Clúster Nàutic is to favour and promote the development of economic and business activities that boost competitiveness in the water sports sector and permit generation of wealth and job creation at a high level.
In a context in which cities are pushed to undertake processes of reindustrialization in those sectors which have more competitive advantages, the water sports sector has the potential necessary to stimulate economic business activity, as well as creating high-level jobs through a cross-disciplinary project based on innovation, excellence and diversification.
Creating strong bonds of collaboration between different agents for whom the sea is a defining element, in order to seek synergies and channel new businesses, agreements and common projects.
Establishing optimum conditions and a business environment favorable to reinforce competitively of companies and entities that work in the water sports sector.
Fomenting activities related to research, development and innovation (r+D+i) in the maritime sector.
Maintaining a fluid, participative and understanding dialogue between Public Administrations, the industry and suppliers of products and services, and community services.
Analysing the most interesting future trends and changing needs of the sector in order to adapt the supply of the industry and specialized services.
Responding to the needs of existing training by adapting study plans in line with the main trends and facilitating links between companies, universities and training centres, in order to boost knowledge.
Implementing actions to foment the water sports industry, consolidated segments and growth, as well as emerging niches in the market and other strategic lines of business.
Increasing local supply of local services for yacht activity, taking advantage of its potential to drive and stimulate a range of sub-sectors and activities, as well as its being a source of indirect spending that is reinvested in the city
Achieving excellence in local businesses and promoting collaboration between them, boosting new management systems and models and vigorously incorporating ICTs and other tools for corporate development.
Working to simplify legislation and advance towards a legal environment that facilitates business development, proposing improvements in its running or ways to streamline formalities and make procedures more flexible.
Spreading knowledge of the sea and recreational water sports amongst the citizenship, fomenting water sports as elements for social integration and for relating to the coastal and maritime environment.
