Under the title "The Sea is the Sky", a new edition of the Saló Nàutic was held this year, organized by Fira de Barcelona, a partner of the Cluster. This year we have designed a program of activities and conferences around the blue economy, the circular economy, innovation and the technical development of the America's Cup. And we did it with the collaboration of the Port of Barcelona, Patró del Clúster.
Many members of the organization participated in the different sessions, such as MB92 and GPASEABOATS who presented an electric marine cleaning robot. There has been talk of electric boats, also. Marcelo Penna, president of the Cluster, emphasized that "this year's edition has allowed us to see, with the help of partners Magonis and Antonio Yachts, how electric boats are lighter, safer and more efficient".
On the other hand, we held a session on the NAUT-EC project to advance the definition of circular economy strategies in the nautical sector with the TecnoCampus de Mataró, who leads the project, and MB92. Both members of the Cluster.
Finally, the America's Cup was present throughout the Salon. From the Cluster we wanted to talk about the technical evolution of boat designs. In a session, organized jointly with the Port of Barcelona, Marcelo Penna, president of the Cluster and naval engineer, spoke about the technology of the new AC75s that "will fly in the entire permitted range of wind, from 6 to 23 knots".
The Barcelona City Council, through Barcelona Activa, in collaboration with Costa Cruceros and the Port of Barcelona, has awarded two projects in the second edition of B-Blue.
