First action of the collaboration program between the Chair in Circular Economy and Sustainability of the Mataró Tecnocampus and the Barcelona Clúster Nàutic.

The collaboration agreement between the Chair in Circular Economy and Sustainability of TecnoCampus and the Barcelona Nautical Cluster aims to establish links between circular economy and blue economy in order to promote various strategies in the nautical sector that allow creating value while extending the useful life of the products and reusing the available resources in a more efficient way.

Thanks to this collaboration agreement, the Chair in Circular Economy and Sustainability of the TecnoCampus de Mataró was able to organize last week a first creative workshop to provide solutions to the generation of waste in the nautical sector.

The session was organized by Marina Barcelona 92, and had the participation of different actors of the industrial fabric of the area and also important companies and institutions of the nautical sector, such as Port Balís, Nautiel, Paktum or Sustainable AND alternatives and creative responses to the generation of waste as a result of the activity carried out by the Barcelonina shipyard.

With the help of Sonia Llorens, director of the Circular Economy and Sustainability Chair at Tecnocampus and Marc Hervàs, Marina Barcelona 92 ​​sustainability coordinator, the different challenges of working with the Desing Thinking methodology were faced. The various solutions provided will be the starting point of the project promoted by Marina Barcelona 92 ​​and the Chair in Circular Economy and Sustainability to circulate the generation of waste in the nautical sector and specifically in the field of refining.

From the Barcelona Nautical Cluster we celebrate this first action of the collaboration agreement between our entity and the Chair in Circular Economy and Sustainability of the Tecnocampus de Mataró. We hope to explain further joint actions in the coming weeks.
