The Barcelona Clúster Nàutic participated this week in Varna (Bulgary) at the fourth meeting of the European project BLUES - Blue Growth connects European Seas, which is funded by the European Commission in the framework of the Erasmus + "KA2 Cooperation for innovation and exchange of good Practices - Strategic partnership for education and vocational training ".
During the meeting, the participants discussed the presentation of the project in different meetings and fairs, and the sustainability of the project taking into account the European policy regarding the blue economy.
The consortium in charge of carrying out this European project is made up of five organizations from five European countries (Greece, Cyprus, Bulgaria, Latvia and Spain). The project coordinator is the Municipality of Piraeus, while the partners are, besides the Barcelona Clúster Nàutic, Enoros Consulting Ltd, Marine Cluster Bulgaria and Latvian Maritime Academy.
The overall objective of the project has been the development of the blue economy in partner countries, strengthen cooperation between industry and education, promote training in this sector and create the necessary tools for this, as well as raise awareness about the Blue Careers.
The best teams will meet at the 47 CaixaBank Conde de Godó Trophy. Real Club Nautico de Barcelona will become the focus of the national sailing world.
